Education is the key to good oral health. That is one good maxim. Another is Seeing is believing. We have known for years how effective intraoral cameras can be in terms of getting patients to improve both their oral health and their awareness. In fact, many of us, probably more than 40% of all dentists in North America, have intraoral cameras in our practice to demonstrate to our patient exactly where the problems are and what the solutions can be. Many have labeled the intraoral camera the best educator (and treatment motivator) in dentistry. The only excuse for not having intraoral practice has been issue of cost.
